I just saw augustine quoted yesterday brilliantly. It was “Hope has two beautiful daughters: their names are anger and courage. Anger that things are the way they are. Courage to make them the way they ought to be.” What a guy!
hey, I heard that self same quote on the BBC some months back and spent a entire afternoon on the web trying to track it down - to send it to you. And you found it all by yourself. I should have known... j
your pic reminds me of mitch hedberg. he talked about putting up a map with pins in all the places he's traveled to. "but first i'd have to travel to the top two corners of the map so it won't fall down"
oh yeah i've heard that quote too moondog! well alaska can probably count as one of the corners. now i just gotta make a quick trip to eastern russia... which isn't too far!
From rice to corn to ice fields, I have lived in/traveled to about 20 countries. Now I'm in Alaska hoping for "the last great American adventure". Oh, and to help break cycles of domestic violence, incarceration, and poverty.
The phoenix is a female/ Rising from her own ashes/ Shedding bad experience/ Like tired skin/ Rejuvenated by the hope/
That Something Better is coming/ And so, more often than not/ Something Better does.
